1. I think Mr. Howard and Mr. Keating refused to make an official apology beacuse they would not " take the fault" for the suffering of these people. Maybe they was embarassed over the things that happened in the past.
2. The blacks experienced the same thing in USA. Apartheid.
Research and Discover
1. The Maori is the indigenous people Polynesian people of New Zealand. They originated with settlers from eastern Polynesian who came in waves canoe voyages some time between 1250 and 1300 CE. They are going through changes today.
2. Both the Aboriginals and the Maoris share an unfortunate history of colonization. However, their cultural facets, from their origin to their language, are vastly different. These differences are prominent in the modern cultures of Australia and New Zealand and reflect the countries and histories.
